The Original Austin Ghost Tours is a locally owned, family-run company that says it has told Austin’s ghost stories for 30 years. Its owner, Jeanine Plumer, and its guides have written books on Austin history, and its tours hand out ghost-hunting gear such as EMF detectors.

Jeanine Plumer owns the company, which also trades as Austin Ghost Tours, and runs Haunted Texas as well. Guide Monica Ballard started giving its tours in the mid-2000s and wrote True Haunted Tales of the Driskill Hotel.
