Built in 1821 as the City Hotel, this Bay Street building housed Moon River Brewing until the brew pub closed in June 2024. Workers told the Associated Press in 2005 that a folded chair upstairs would set itself upright on all four legs.
Cemetery
Many of the people yellow fever killed in Savannah in 1820 were buried in Colonial Park. Local historian Ryan Dunn told WJCL, a Savannah TV station, that a recording made there at about 2 a.m. caught "a very clear response from a little girl" giving her name: "Kate."
